Thank you for your interest in the Hometown Heroes & Honored Heroes Program.  The program for 2024 is now closed at this time.  We will re-open the program for 2025 in January/February 2025.

The Franklin Square Civic Association Hometown Heroes Program honors heroes who live or have lived in Franklin Square and heroes recognized by residents of Franklin Square.  Our heroes are honored by banners that are displayed outside at our local VFW Post 2718 on Lincoln Road, and throughout Rath Park.

Franklin Square Hometown Hero banners will honor those who have lived in, or still reside in Franklin Square to recognize their contribution as members of the military, or first responders. The banners will serve as a reminder of the contributions of Franklin Square residents.

Franklin Square Honored Hero banners will be available to Franklin Square residents who would like to recognize the contributions of a military or first responder hero, who may not reside, or never resided, in our hometown.
